"Mentor: Someone whose hindsight can become your foresight." - Anonymous

Effective leadership, according to Pat Mitchell, goes beyond vision, strategy, communication, and charisma. Effective leaders have not only climbed the ladder of success, they extend that ladder to those below them. Effective leaders provide guidance, insight, and direction to others.

Pat Mitchell has had her share of mentors in her three-decade career in media. Many have helped Mitchell who has worked for NBC, CBS and ABC respectively as a network correspondent, a news anchor, and producer/host of an Emmy award-winning talk program. After working as an independent executive producer, Mitchell joined Turner Broadcasting System (TBS), Inc., where she was president of the original programming division of CNN. Her work has been recognized with 37 Emmys and five Peabody Awards, and she received two Academy Award nominations.
